Inhaltsangabe
This beautiful book was created by two sisters, Caron and Janine, during the Covid lock-down in 2020 as a showpiece for Caron's beautiful hand painted art. The book features a story in rhyme, created by Janine, about a friendship between a wasp and a bee. The clever wasp intended to teach the bee how to use his stinger to get all he ever dreamt of, but it's the wasp that finally learns the lesson. The series of Bee Wise books all have a little bit of wisdom sewn into the rich, beautiful paintings making these books a wonderful gift for children for bedtime reading initially and then for fun when they can read for themselves. This is the first edition in a ten part series due to follow. Each will have a different theme and characters, but all will be vibrant and beautiful and reflect life like wildlife in fantasy scenarios.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
This is a story of two sister’s sharing a dream to create their own series of children’s books using each of their talents to bring something a little unusual to the book shelves during the Covid Pandemic in 2020. Caron Light, who illustrates, had been a hobby artist in the past, but had not picked up a paint brush in over twenty years. During the pandemic, that kept everyone at home throughout 2020 and 2021, Caron was encouraged to take up painting again and found herself busy with commissions for portraits of her friend’s animals and seascapes for family members who missed the ocean. Whilst out walking in their hometown Henley on Thames, with caron’s two beautiful dogs Lillie and Winnie, Caron confessed her dream to create children’s books that gave her such fond memories from her own childhood. The sister’s agreed there and then to begin work and the Wasp and the Bee, which was their first completed creation, which was launched in December 2020.
