Douglas Botting and Ian Sayer are co-authors of Nazi Gold and Hitler's Last General. Douglas Botting was formerly special correspondent for the BBC and Time-Life. Ian Sayer is the founder of the most extensive private document archive on the Third Reich in the UK, and it was his discovery of the hitherto unknown papers of Walter Wagner, the mystery man at Hitler's wedding, which was the start-point of this present book.
