Ray Bradbury, now nearly 90, is one of the most renowned and bestselling American short-story writers, whose contribution to science fiction has been described as 'prolific, distinguished, deeply influential ... and unmatched' (Pulitzer board). His novels - notably The Martian Chronicles, Fahrenheit 451 and Something Wicked This Way Comes - have achieved classic status.
