Since then, the cavalry has seen action in the American Civil War (1861-1865) and in frequent battles with Native American tribes on the Western frontier, and more recently in World War II and the Korean War (1950-1953). Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
John Selby was educated at Haileybury, the Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, and Christ's College, Cambridge. He is a military historian and Senior Lecturer at the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst. His previous books include The Second World War, Stories of Famous Sieges, The Recollections of Sergeant Morris (editor), The Paper Dragon, The Boer War, The Thin Red Line and a biography of Stonewall Jackson.
