Inhaltsangabe

It's 1940 - the darkest days of World War II. Helmut Lindhorf, inspired by the toy soldiers of his young son Karl, has a brilliant idea. surely the best way of invading England would be to dig a secret Channel Tunnel! The Führer approves and work commences. Meanwhile, undercover SS officers buy an isolated farm in Kent near the coast and start digging from their end. At the same time a sadistic and perverted killer is on the loose in England, raping and butchering women in a horrific way. But Barry, an Australian soldier, is determined to find the man who has killed the woman he loves. Will the Germans finish their tunnel? Will the murderer be caught? In this gripping thriller the two plots intertwine in a surprising way. Derek Wisdom was born and raised in Porth, Rhondda. He played semi-pro football in Wales and England before becoming a teacher in 1959. He has taught in England, Australia, Ghana and Canada. Retiring in 1990, he and his wife Shirley now live in New Brunswick, Canada. They have two children - Terry Ann and Craig - and four grandchildren.
