His publications include The Great War, 1914-18, The First World War: The Essential Guide to Sources in the UK National Archives, A Nation in Arms: A Social Study of the British Army in the First World War and The Oxford History of the British Army Steven J. Corvi research has concentrated on the First World War and on British military institutions, and he has made a special study of the generalship of Horace Smith-Dorrien.
