This annual collection (originally a quarterly, first published in 1977) compiles articles on ships from the world's navies as well as reviews of books and other writings on the topic. This volume comprises 10 feature articles, whose topics include: the training ship Jadran, Italian fast coastal forces from 1934-1986, the Soviet light cruisers of the Kirov class, and weather and warship casualties from 1934-1944. Four reviews are also included. Annotation ©2009 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
