Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Michael O'Connor advises clients on a wide range of corporate and personal taxation issues. He is a member of the Taxation Committee of the Law Society of Ireland and the Law Society's representative on the Value Added Tax Subcommittee of TALC (Taxation Advisory and Liaison Committee) He is a member of the European VAT Club, a group of lawyers from EU member and other states who meet twice yearly to discuss problems relating to the application of VAT. He is also the correspondent for Ireland of the International VAT Monitor. Michael is also a joint author of Stamp Duties for Business and Property and a frequent contributor of articles on tax issues. He has played a leading role in the preparation for the Law Society of the VAT Special Conditions of Sale and the draft pre contract VAT enquiries.
Patrick Cahill is a solicitor and the principal of the law firm Patrick S Cahill, Solicitors which specialises in commercial property transactions. Patrick advises corporate and individual clients and also provides his specialist consultancy services to other professional advisors.

Patrick holds law degrees from Trinity College, Dublin and qualified as an associate of the Institute of Taxation in 1982. In 1995, he was made a Fellow of the Institute of Taxation in Ireland. Patrick has lectured on tax and legal issues, has contributed articles to the Irish Tax Review and is a member of the International Fiscal Association. Patrick has co-authored ten editions of The Law of Stamp Duties (Institute of Taxation in Ireland) and has also co-authored Stamp Duties for Business and Property (Thomson Round Hall, 2005).
