When Bex auditions for The Tingle Factor, she asks her geeky but musical classmate, Matt, to accompany her, hoping he'll lift her performance. Then Matt gets selected - not Bex! Matt doesn't want to take part - he has no interest in The Tingle Factor and, more importantly, he's the main carer for his disabled mother and there's no way his eight-year-old sister can manage alone. But eventually Bex persuades him by offering to help out. While Matt gets more and more absorbed by The Tingle Factor, Bex is left to cope with Matt's sweet, affection-starved sister and his angry mother.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
Simon Packham read drama at Manchester University. He was a stand-up comedian
and then an actor for twenty years (if you didn't blink you might have caught him on
The Bill, or standing next to Dame Judy Dench in a mask) before becoming a writer.
He has published four previous books with Piccadilly, all about children who attend
the fictional St Thomas's Community College. He is married to a headmistress, and has two teenage children who both give him invaluable advice on his writing.
