Inhaltsangabe

The much-acclaimed The Broons Days Oot! is a cracking guide to Scotland. Now expanded with new information throughout, the new book includes new sections on the Scottish islands, Scotland's whisky trails, cycling in Scotland, walking, arts and other festivals, and gala days. Ideal for the glovebox, the backpack, and the holiday cottage, this book is a comprehensive guide to Scotland, with highlights on free places to go and things to do. Castles and gardens, country parks, museums, galleries, botanic gardens, hill walks, cycling, picnics, cities, beaches and cracking events all over Scotland are featured in this book - so you are encouraged to get out and about, just like the Broons! One thing's for sure - they are all happy days! The book also features free stuff like vouchers for Historic Scotland and National Trust for Scotland. Written by the Broon family, in response to helping Horace with his homework project, this guide is full of wee stories, postcards home, notes, collector's cards, leaflets and clippings about the Broons' favourite places, all stuck in by Horace in scrapbook style. Horace has delved into Maw's memory box for bits and pieces, and added up-todate fact boxes that list current phone and website information for key places to visit. The Broons comic strip is hugely popular, with The Sunday Post having over 1,000,000 readers every week. The book includes strips from years gone by that will make you smile, as the Broons enjoy their days oot, rain or shine! For a complete list of contents
