No pagination, 72 PP with 34 b/w plates, 12 colour plates, 9 charts and 2 coastal views on double page, 1 colour plate on double page with 13 traditional craft, plus 1 large folded chart at rear. Original cloth cover, gilt title on green vignette on front cover and spine. Foxing spots on endpapers, half title page, title page and contents page, then decreasing from plate 1 to the last folded plate and mostly in the margins of some plates (rarely affecting the illustrations). Very good. Scarce. 51.5 x 33.5. Atlas published to accompany the Journal of the voyage around the world of the 1824 - 1826 expedition led by Baron de Bougainville. Spectacular illustrations.
