This is a compilation of the best angling writing from the golden years of The Fishing Gazette, 1879-1937. The famous anglers of Britain wrote regularly for The Fishing Gazette. and much of the writing would be lost if it were not reprinted here in book form. Geoffrey Bucknall adds his own commentary where appropriate. This anthology includes experiences of former masters which still guide fishermen today, as well as fly patterns which were once renowned, but might otherwise have been lost.
