This publication surveys the full range of Victorian representations of the nude, both male and female concentrating on painting, sculpture and drawing, but also exploring the artistic depiction of the "naked" body in other media, both "high" and "low", including photography, popular illustration, advertizing imagery and caricature, foregrounding issues of morality, sexuality and desire that remain relevant in the 21st century.
