Inhaltsangabe

What is successful learning? What do successful learners do? What do they need? How can we make successful learning happen? Learning is a complex process. This book takes the separate 'pieces' of the learning puzzle one by one and puts them together to create the bigger picture. It introduces a unique model that will support and guide the development of effective learning for all pupils. The emphasis is on engaging both teachers and learners in exploring the factors that influence learning success. Di Pardoe draws upon extensive classroom experience and research to provide an array of practical strategies that will deepen pupils' and teachers' understanding of the key principles of learning through: shared pupil-teacher conversations using a common language; the active involvement of the learner. The book and CD provide: detailed case studies; clear examples of strategies in action; specially designed templates and proformas; lots of printable resources. The case study material has a particular emphasis upon the Foundation Stage and Key Stages 1 and 2, the key elements of the model apply across all age-groups. A helpful resource for Assessment for Learning.
