Inhaltsangabe

Capturing cats on paper is a rewarding challenge for the artist. The incredible range of breeds, colours, sizes and shapes that are on offer is further enhanced by the never-ending poses that cats can assume, from simply sitting to the huge variety of sleeping positions. Cats are, of course, individuals and it is those special aspects of their character that will make your drawing come to life. In Cats and How to Draw Them, Melvyn Petterson offers advice on how to capture the essence of your cat - from cats to kittens, ginger toms to pedigrees - with tips on portraying their features accurately, how to draw fur in different media and how to master a range of poses.
