The sites are organized into sections that reflect users' motivations for visiting them. Each site is accompanied by a short review, and quotations from web designers around the world run throughout the book, providing an additional commentary on the sites and explaining why they are significant. There are also essays by Jakob Nielsen, Richard Buchanan and Geert Lovink. The book is accompanied by its own website, which extends the content and debate initiated in the book and provides a forum for discussion and innovation for the web design community.
