Part 17 is called `The Discovered Attack', 16 is `The Pin' and 22 is `En Passant' Author was chess champion of Oxfordshire. Book includes quiz questions - answers at back. Cond :Paper wrapper is white with black lettering. Cover graphic involves 9 black pawns and one red one. Some light general wear. Very minor soiling. Tight, bright, and square. No names nor marks. Excellent working copy. Quote (p. 60) : " You have one bishop working on the white squares, and one bishop working on the black squares. In the diagram you can see a bishop changing directiion after one move, but remaining on the same coloured squares. The bishop cannot jump over ._._._. ." Size: 4to.
