The development of the .NET Framework, with the associated release of the C# programming language, is set to stimulate a new wave of application development. This book aims to provide the information needed to develop powerful data-centric applications using C#. To do this we'll be extensively covering the exciting new features of ADO.NET that deliver efficient data access and manipulation, and the XML handling capabilities of the .NET Framework. Kent Tegel is a system developer and engineer working for HDR, Inc., a leading Engineering, Architecture and Consulting Firm. He is a Microsoft Certified Professional plus Site Builder, System Engineer (plus Internet) and Database Administrator.

Neil Whitlow is currently working as a Senior Systems Analyst developing software for pen-based computers with a large insurance company in Nashville, TN.

Jerry Hoff lives in Saint Louis, Missouri where he delivers computer-programming seminars at Washington University's CAIT program. Among the classes he teaches are Java, JavaScript, Visual Basic, PL-SQL, Transact-SQL, PERL, VB.NET, C# and ASP.NET. Previously, he taught for several years at the Microcomputer Program at University of Missouri, where he taught classes in C, Unix, ASP and Java.

Jay Glynn has been developing software for over 12 years. He currently works as a Senior Architect at a large financial services company where he's designed and developed client/server and pen based applications for the past several years.
