This manuscript is almost 500 years old and was handwritten by Leonardo da Vinci in his characteristic mirror writing and supported by copious sketches. Each page is reproduced in this publication and is accompanied by an interpreation of the original Italian texts by Leonardo scholar, Professor Carlo Pedretti. The volume also includes an introductory essay by Michael Desmond on Leonardo, his work and his place in the Renaissance.
