Each consonant blend featured is accompanied by a creative activity and two fun reading activities designed both to consolidate blend recognition and use and to extend children's knowledge in a stimulating way. Rachel Goodchild is currently a primary school teacher in a rural school in New Zealand. She has also taught in the early childhood sector. One of her main interests is in developing creative approaches to early literacy.
