Barry Topping is Professor of Computational Mechanics at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, Scotland. He is also editor of the International Journal of Computers & Structures and editor of Advances in Engineering Software. Zdenek Bittnar is Professor at the faculty of Civil Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague, Czech Republic.
