Using exterior photographs and interior diagrams, Royston shows the inner and outer parts of spiders, oysters, goldfish, and cats. The clear labeling and primary information may encourage children to explore further the world of nature. However, the very simplicity of these volumes also detracts from their value, since little is explained in depth, leaving readers with more questions than answers.
