Jack W. Boone was a very successful businessman for many years. After retirement, his plan was to kick-start a career that he put on hold years ago. He always wanted to be a writer. He has exceeded beyond his own dreams and is still going strong.

His initial plan was to write about his life experiences. After all, he had led a very full, interesting and productive life. He served in the army in WW II and took part in the invasions of North Africa and Sicily, fighting the German Africa Corp. He was awarded the Silver Star for gallantry in action at Kasserine Pass and the Purple Heart for wounds received in action near Gafsa in North Africa. Between invasions, he spent time teaching American weaponry to the French Foreign Legion.

At the end of the Sicilian campaign, because of his battle experience, he was ordered back to the US to become a tactical training officer on a general staff.

After his discharged, a business opportunity came his way, and he took it. He was in the Import-Export business dealing in China and the future looked exceedingly bright---until the Communist took over---then the bubble burst.

He came to Atlanta to go into business and spent the next 40 years there.

Late in his career, he gave his wife a high dollar figure, telling her that the day his net worth exceeded that number, he would retire. It did and he did.

He works at his new craft every day. His comment: "Other than my businesses, this is the most satisfying work I have ever done. I love it and I hope it shows in the quality of my work. If only one person enjoys my books, it has all been worthwhile. I'm having a wonderful time."
