Valerie and her husband, Bruce, homeschooled their six children through high school. Valerie's books offer wisdom and encouragement that draw on more than twenty-five years of homeschooling experience. Valerie holds a Bachelor s Degree in Creative Writing from Eckerd College and has written a number of stories and articles for children's magazines.
