A small cadre of dedicated people reveal how easy it is to cripple segments of America's more important infrastructure. Targeted for destruction are bridges and railroad crossings that span the Mississippi River and many natural gas pipelines that serve the Midwest and the East Coast States.

Gerald Rolf grew up on U.S. Army posts, attended Texas A&M University, majoring in Geological Engineering. He worked as an exploratory geologist for major petroleum companies for twenty years before becoming an independent. His work resulted in a familiarity with the industry's transport facilities nationwide. He is active in the professional organizations of petroleum geologists, most recently as President of the Gulf Coast Association of Geological Societies.
