Bob Nandell uses black and white film to preserve images of a Midwest which is fading away, including back roads, small towns, and people. A longtime newspaper photographer, he retired after 28 years with the Des Moines (Iowa) Register. Maple Street Stories is his fourth book of photos and poems.
