On Friday, December 18, 1981, Dana Bradley's lifeless body was found in a wooded area on the outskirts of St. John's by a family in search of a Christmas tree. A manhunt began that culminated in the 1986 arrest of a suspect who confessed to the vicious attack. However, this man later recanted and no conviction was obtained.
