Covering recent technological and planning advances, these essays cover the last three years of Mars Society meetings and discuss such topics as habitat infrastructure, exploration technique, and colony organization as they have been explored at the Mars Society's Analog Research Stations at Devon Island, Nunavuit in Canada and in Hanksville, Utah. Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Dr. Frank Crossman is the coauthor of On to Mars, a former director of materials and structures research and development at Lockheed Martin, and a member of the National Research Council's National Materials Advisory Board. He lives in Palo Alto, California. Dr. Robert Zubrin is the author of The Case for Mars,Entering Space, First Landing, The Holy Land, and Mars on Earth. He is the founder of the Mars Society and Pioneer Astronautics and a former senior engineer at Lockheed Martin. He lives in Indian Hills, Colorado.
