Timber Frame: Standard Details for Houses and Flats, with its accompanying CD, provides typical details for "open" panel timber frame wall panels.

It includes over 100 timber design solutions, saving designers and architects hours of design time. Based on the Building Regulation requirements in England and Wales in place in 2006 at the time of preparation, the drawings are provided in an A4 manual and on the accompanying CD as .pdf and .dwg files. The latter may therefore be modified by designers to suit different project or client requirements, eg higher performance.

Please note: the CD is supplied in PC format.

The drawings are in DWG (AutoCAD 2005) and PDF (Acrobat 6) formats, offering flexibility of use for designers. All drawings are based on the Building Regulations for England and Wales in 2006. Users remain solely responsible for adapting .dwg files for the specific requirements of their projects and for checking that all current regulatory requirements are met. The details are not a substitute for the exercise of professional judgement.
