Reseña del editor:
On the streets of a future London, race hate gangs have been waging a bloody war for years. A united Africa and a struggling European Union have fuelled a dangerously twisted sense of patriotism amongst a desperate few. In a city gone mad two people were searching for sanity amidst the confusion. Yasmeen Beyene – a beautiful Rasta historian is facing a series of tragedies in her life that are more than mere misfortune. Asim Marshal – Ex lieutenant of Special OP’S Africa, has returned from the bloody conflicts on the continent to rebuild a family he nearly destroyed. They both meet at a family reunion and are inexplicably drawn to each other. But their relationship is to be tested to its core by a family history Yasmeen knows nothing about. A history that goes back to the formation of the Nation of Ras Tafari twenty-five years ago. An evil leader that wants to become the symbolic figurehead of Rasta worldwide – his ultimate destiny – and who craves Yasmeen’s blood to succeed. He has killed relentlessly before and would do so again. Only Yasmeen’s determination to find the answers, Asim’s battle hardened skills and a long dead Rasta mystic can save them against a demagogue who will let nothing stand in his way. War Inna Babylon!
Biografía del autor:
My name is Anton Marks. I'm a published author of Urban Fantastic thrillers and I'm based in London. My self-styled genre of Urban Fantastic is genre fiction - horror, sword and soul to sci-fi - that highlight the black experience whether from the US, Europe, the Caribbean or an African point of view. I grew up in Jamaica leaving the UK when I was young and was educated there. Many of my influences are from that fantastic island but I have an eclectic mixture of experiences that inspired my stories. My writing career started here in the UK with a Jamaican thriller I penned called Dancehall. Dancehall was published by the X-Press publishers and was unique crime thriller that had dancehall reggae as a backdrop and followed the rise of a talented DJ Simba Ranking from the politically volatile ghetto's of Kingston. Nothing had ever been done like that before and the readership went out and supported me graciously. My next novel In the Days of Dread – a futuristic thriller - had arrived after a hiatus of three years due to some challenges with the publishing world. That too went down well with growing readership. Bushman a crime thriller was released in 2007 and 69 an erotic thriller based in futuristic London was released 2008. In 2015 I rolled out a Charlie’s Angels type supernatural thriller called Bad II the Bone and in 2016, I will have published the beginning of a young adult sci-fi-fantasy series entitled the Last Prince of Alkebulahn. At present I have three books in the Amazon Kindle store, Dancehall, Bad II the Bone and In the Days of Dread but I will have the rest of my back catalogue included very soon. I have acquired a new focus that will see me produce some groundbreaking fiction in the future, that I know will entertain and inspire. For all those who don’t know me, I’m hoping this will be my opportunity to remedy that situation. Peace. Love and Power Anton Marks
