Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Nick Fisher is Emeritus Professor of Ancient History at Cardiff University. His books include Hybris: A study in the values of honour and shame in Ancient Greece (1992), Slavery in Classical Greece (1993) and an edition with introduction, translation and commentary of Aeschines, Against Timarchos (2001).
Hans Van Wees is Professor of Ancient History at University College London. He is the author of Status Warriors: War, violence and society in Homer and history (1992) and Greek Warfare: Myths and realities (2004), and co-author of Athenian Public Finance (forthcoming).
