Über die Autorinnen und Autoren

 

Guillermo Gómez-Peña was born in Mexico City and moved to the United States in 1978, where he established himself as a performance artist, writer, activist, and educator. His other books include Ethno-Techno: Writings on Performance, Activism and Pedagogy and The New World Border: Prophecies, Poems, and Loqueras for the End of the Century. Laura Levin is assistant professor of theater at York University in Toronto.

Interdisciplinary Artist/writer Guillermo G=mez-Pena was born in Mexico City. He has been exploring cross-cultural issues through performance, multilingual poetry, journalism, video, radio, photography and installation art. His performance work and critical writings have helped develop and define debates on cultural diversity, identity and US-Mexico relations. A MacArthur Genius and American Book Award recipient, he has authored 10 successful books on performance, border culture, activism and radical pedagogy.

Laura Levin is an Associate Professor of Theatre at York University, Toronto. She is Editor-in-Chief of Canadian Theatre Review and Editor of Theatre and Performance in Toronto (2011).
