Alan and Jackie Gear, both qualified scientists, are an inspiring couple who have been behind many significant national campaigns and events promoting organic gardening. Their knowledge comes from working in the field of organic fruit and vegetable growing for over 30 years, and being directors of what is now Garden Organic, Britain's largest organic gardening organisation. They have shared experiences with countless other growers including legendary horticultural figures such as Lawrence D. Hills, Geoff Hamilton, Joy Larkcom and others. They are honorary fellows of the RHS and authors of Organic Gardening: The Whole Story.
