Along the way, Marshall manages somehow to mix in odd polemics on public transport sex, the science of moats, and the mysterious highland landscape.

Kirk Marshall is an award-winning Australian writer, and teacher of English Literature and Media (Film & TV Studies) at RMIT University. He is the author of The Signatory (Skylight Press; 2012), Carnivalesque, And: Other Stories (Black Rider Press; 2011), and A Solution to Economic Depression in Little Tokyo, 1953. He edits Red Leaves, the English-language/Japanese bi-lingual literary journal. He now suffers migraines in two languages.
