Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
Henry Rodolph de Salis (1866-1936) was the chairman of Fellows, Morton and Clayton Ltd., canal carriers, and member of the Thames Conservancy Board. A civil engineer, he was a great authority on canal navigation, on which he wrote several books.
