Inhaltsangabe

Established in 1924, CF Møller Architects is one of Scandinavia's oldest and largest architectural practices, whose work ranges from landscape architecture to product design and healthcare planning as well as logistics and management. Rather than offering a conventional survey of the practice's work, the book looks at
its values of the practice and the way in which these have been re-interpreted to suit individual projects. The works presented are organised according to seven different themes 'Context`, 'Daylight`, 'Sustainable`, 'User-driven`, 'International/localized`, 'Teamwork`, 'Art and Architecture`. Each of these themes represents one of the values embraced by the practice in relation to the conditions of the Danish Welfare State, as well as referencing the wider Scandinavian Welfare States and how both might be perceived from an international perspective.
For over 90 years the practice has been developing a socio-democratic architecture, whose can be seen in the University of Aarhus,1931, as well as in their work in the sectors of healthcare, education and housing, this can be explicitly seen in projects such as the Bislett Stadium, the Student Housing for the University of Southern Denmark, the National Maritime Museum's Sammy Ofer Wing, the Sølvgade School and the Akersus University Hospital, to name but a few.
