Since his son was three years old, Jeffrey has told him adventure stories that were so exciting and thrilling that Joshua asked for them to be written down. Sonny Starr versus the Space-Time Conspiracy is the culmination of these stories, and Joshua is the inspiration for the main character.

Jeffrey lives in a sixteenth-century cottage in an old village in Wiltshire, England, with his wife, son, and border collie, Boris.
