Pierpaolo Patarnello DVM is Veterinary Officer at the Sanitary Department of the Lecce Veterinary Office, Italy. He has more than 20 years' experience farming marine species in the Mediterranean and has been technical manager for the most important hatcheries in Italy.
Niccolò Vendramin DVM is Coordinator of the European Reference Laboratory for Fish Diseases at DTU-VET, Division for Diagnostic and Scientific Advice, Veterinary Institute, Copenhagen, Denmark. He is a veterinarian specialising in fish diseases, with a focus on developing diagnostic methods and the laboratory analysis of viral fish diseases.
