Word reaches Molly of a new, and frightening, illness. Nobody's allowed on or off her island, to stop it getting there. But Molly's lovely dad is over on the mainland, selling fish. How will she cope without him?

Molly helps her mum with the cooking, with the ducks and chickens, with making masks... But then old Mary Kate falls ill and the virus reaches the island. What can Molly do to help? How will the islanders survive?

A great resource for people home-schooling, Molly and the Lockdown helps educate children about the challenging circumstances surrounding COVID-19, UKwide lockdowns and the vaccine, as well as providing a hopeful message for both children and adults.

Andrew Whitson is an award-winning artist and Belfast native who likes to be called Mr. Ando! He lives in an old house which is nestled discreetly on the side of a misty hill; at the edge of a magic wood, below an enchanted castle in the shadow of a giant's nose. His house looks down over Belfast Harbour where the Titanic was built and up at the Belfast Cavehill where an American B-17 Flying Fortress bomber plane once crashed during World War II!
