Taboos are everywhere and it seems that people are breaking those taboos! We live in a world where anything goes! “Do what thou wilt, shall be the whole of the law.” This attitude seems to be in the church too. This is Part 2 of Christian Taboo Series, a new series looking at taboos from a Christian perspective. In Part 1 we looked at human sacrifice, eating human flesh and drinking blood. What about tattoos for Christians? There are many issues that we may have thought were clear and settled, but what does the Bible say about tattoos? In this second book of the Series, we will set out a Biblical context for tattoos. We will consider the history and spread of tattoos and what Christians have thought about them throughout history and what they think today. Ultimately, I believe, it is centered on the Holiness of God and His people. Kenneth A. Brown is a graduate of Cambridge University, where he studied Law. He is now a non-practising Solicitor of the Supreme Court. He teaches English as a foreign language and lives in London with his wife.
