Jo McKenzie grew up in Bendigo, a country town in Victoria. She now lives in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne with her two children. After graduating from high school she worked in an accounting firm before securing a position in the tourism industry where she worked for the next seven years. Her involvement and passion for the beauty industry started when she decided to become a party plan consultant, selling skin care and makeup as a part time hobby. She excelled in this area, winning many awards and prizes along the way. It was through this that she realised she had a gift for sharing and teaching her passion for skincare and makeup. She moved to Melbourne to pursue her career and completed her Diploma of Beauty therapy in 1992. She worked in leading salons around Melbourne before opening her own professional clinic "Envisage Beauty" from home in 2002. She has continued her education over the years and is highly qualified in many advanced skincare and beauty treatments. She specialises in age management and skin rejuvenation with the use of combined therapies such as collagen induction therapy (skin needling), microdermabrasion, hydrodermabrasion, sonophoresis, oxygen treatments and chemical skin peels. She holds a current Intense Pulse Light (IPL)/Laser Safety Officers certicate and is an IPL/Laser skin specialist. Jo is also an experienced cosmetic tattooist and micro blade artist who has been passionate about creating natural looking semi permanent makeup enhancements for her clients since obtaining this qualification in 2007. Jo is well known and well respected in the beauty industry for her professionalism and knowledge as a skin and beauty specialist, and for her longevity and adaptability as a salon owner and businesswoman.
