Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Dehuan Huang, Ph.D. is the world's first scientist to displace single Silicon (Si) atoms. He has been a scientist at the Mechanical Engineering Laboratory of Japan, and a senior research scientist with the Japan Science and Technology Corporation (JST), which specializes in the study of controlling atoms and quantum fluctuation. Through invitation by Mr. C. D. Li in 1994, Dr. Huang lectured at the Beijing Chinese Scientific Technology Center. In 1997 he attended the second annual World Chinese Physicist Conference in Taiwan. Since 1999, Dr. Huang has been working with Dr. Calvin Quate on the ICORP Quantum Entanglement Project. This project is a joint venture between Stanford University and the Japan Science and Technology Corporation. Dr. Huang is responsible for the ¡§atom manipulation and nanotechnology¡¨ research group, which leads the way in this field. Dr. Huang continues to achieve major breakthroughs in various techniques to manipulate and control single atoms and individual electrons. This enables fabricating atomic-scale electronic devices by using a scanning tunneling microscope, as well as producing various nanomaterials with these systems. He has published more than 240 related papers in areas such as increasing information storage, biological manipulation, and fabricating new materials. Dr. Huang has not only provided the experimental theory, but has also demonstrated conclusive proofs. He now holds 12 patents for the application of nanotechnology in Japan, U.S., Germany, England, and France.

In recent years, Dr. Huang has been invited to give speeches at major international conferences, giving talks on nanotechnology in China, Japan, U.S.A., Hong Kong, and other countries worldwide. He is often hired as a researcher by the China Scientific Institute, and as visiting professor at various universities. Many newspapers, magazines, television, and radio have reported Dr. Huang¡¦s achievements. His research on the top-notch technology of the century will be leading the way for future technical and production revolution.

Dr. Huang is a pioneer of nanotechnology. He is an active member of the American Physics Society, Japan Society of Applied Physics, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and the New York Academy of Sciences. He is also a member of the ABI¡¦s Research Board of Advisors in the U.S., and an honorary member of the IBC Advisory Council, England.
