Chief Jerry Bell (ret.), a native of DeQuincy, Louisiana received his Bachelor’s Degree in General Studies from the University of the State of New York. He later earned his Master’s Degree in International Relations from Boston University. Chief Bell has over 55 years of Intelligence, Security, and Police experience. However Chief Bell’s niche is in the field of International Security. Chief Bell has served with eight Presidents starting with President Kennedy. He has served during numerous conflicts and conducted security operations worldwide to include operations in the Middle East, Far East, Asia, Europe, South and Central America and the Caribbean. He participated in the invasions of the Dominican Republic, Grenada, Panama and fought in the wars against drugs and terrorism.
Mr. Bell served as a Counter-Intelligence Agent (CI), a CID Agent and a SSD Agent with the NATO International police in Belgium. Mr. Bell was also called by his country to be a Sky Marshal during the high-jacking of the 1970’s. Mr. Bell further distinguished himself as a NATO Security Officer and was on General Alexander Haig’s security detail when General Haig was bombed by terrorists.
Mr. Bell is trained both as an anti-terrorist and counter-terrorist agent. He has operated worldwide in both fields. Mr. Bell worked hard and earned the coveted Green Beret, the Special Forces Tab and the Master Parachute Badge. Mr. Bell also worked hard and earned and received the Distinguished Gold Badge of a CID Agent and a CI Agent. Mr. Bell was trained in all aspects of Special Operations to include training in 5 foreign languages. Special Agent Bell was chosen for numerous security missions because of his foreign language capabilities.
During his 55 years of service, Mr. Bell was awarded over 20 medals, and numerous citations, one being the Honored Legion of Merit from the US Government. Mr. Bell was also awarded numerous awards from foreign countries for his service. Special Agent Bell, while employed as a Counter-terrorist Agent, participated as a security specialist in the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles, CA and received an award for that service. Special Agent Bell was also sent to the Republic of Korea to help train the South Korean Government special troops for their Olympics. For this Mr. Bell also received an award.
Special Agent Bell participated in numerous rescue attempts worldwide to include working years on the hostage situation in Beirut. Mr. Bell ended his first time government career as one of the top security specialists in the United States Top Secret Counter-Terrorist Unit. Mr. Bell received awards and accolades from the Secretary of the Army for his secret work. The Commanding General of the US Army Special Forces recognized Mr. Bell’s achievements and sacrifices and stated in a private note to Mr. Bell stating that he, nor the nation, can ever repay him for what he did for his nation.
