Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Grant Watkins began his twenty-plus years of caregiving at the age of seventeen, when his father was declared legally blind. For more than five years, he experienced caregiver fatigue while sharing the responsibilities of caring for his father, who died shortly after Grant s twenty-second birthday. Despite the heavy burden and fatigue, the experience of caring for his father also allowed Grant to feel powerful moments of intense love that transformed his life. Grant founded Mission for Mobility in 2002 as a community service initiative in which he now serves as an inspirational speaker. In addition to inspiring caregivers, he strives to empower people to live independently. Grant, who holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, currently works for a nonprofit organization that promotes independent living for seniors and for those who have chronic physical and/or mental disabilities. He lives in Minneapolis, MN.
