Her Black Swamp Mysteries series is set in North Carolina and has placed as one of only five finalists in the 2012 International Book Awards and 2012 USA Best Book Awards (mystery/suspense categories) and has been nominated for the 2013 IPPY Awards. Her historical suspense, River Passage, won the 2010 Best Book Award and the original manuscript was placed in the Nashville (TN) Metropolitan Government Archives for future researchers and historians. Suspense Magazine says p.m.terrell’s writing “is powerfully written and masterfully suspenseful; you have to hang on for the ride of your life.” And Midwest Book Review says her writing “includes intense drama, fast-paced action, breathtaking suspense and romance… an amazing attention to detail and strong character development. Her writing is tight and intense.” A full-time writer since 2002, she is retired from the computer industry after founding two companies in the Washington, DC area.
