Ryn escapes from the brutal family that "adopts" him only to get caught up with a gang of murderers. Aeden is befriended by a streetwise orphan whose values go against everything she was taught. Their only chance for survival rests inside an old mine, but will this be the only clue they cannot find?

New York native Ann I. Goldfarb spent most of her life in education, first as a classroom teacher and later as a middle school principal and professional staff developer. Writing has always been an integral part of her world. Her freelance non-fiction can be found in trade magazines for Madavor Media and Jones Publications, but her real passion is writing mystery-suspense for young adult audiences. Time travel is the vehicle she has chosen to embrace. Ann resides with her family near the foothills of the White Tank Mountains in Arizona.
