Kathleen Brewin Lewis is a Georgia writer who grew up around the marshes, beach and rivers of Savannah. She now lives in Atlanta and hikes the red clay hills of North Georgia and North Carolina with her husband and two grown children. These diverse terrains serve as backdrops for much of her poetry. A graduate of Wake Forest University, she has an MA in Professional Writing with a concentration in creative writing from Kennesaw State University. Her poetry and prose have been published in Valparaiso Poetry Review, Yemassee, Southern Humanities Review, STILL: The Journal, James Dickey Review, Foundling Review, Heron Tree, Weave Magazine, Town Creek Poetry, The Southern Women’s Review, Deep South Magazine, and The Southern Poetry Anthology Vol. V: Georgia, among others. A Pushcart Prize nominee, she is senior editor of the literary journal Flycatcher.
