Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Laurel Downing Bill, a third-generation Alaskan, earned a degree in journalism (minor in history) from the University of Alaska Anchorage in 2003. She has been researching and writing about Alaska's history ever since she inherited her Aunt Phyllis Downing Carlson's notes, stories and research into the 49th state's incredible past. The Aunt Phil's Trunk series, of which there are five volumes now, earned the 2016 Literary Classics International award for Best Nonfiction Series and Best Historical Nonfiction. Downing Bill lives in Anchorage and continues to research and write articles about Alaska for various magazines and newspapers.
