Inhaltsangabe

If you enjoy poetry about life, about the glories of nature, love, friends and family, you will enjoy the density and calm meaning in Greg Busacker's book. The pages are filled with observation, insight, and the author's ability to introduce concepts not often found in most volumes of poetry. Here's what readers have said about this book:

"Edges of a Life is a book of fine poetry written by a man growing into a new world of expressive attention toward people, nature, and the interaction of both. One feels the sensitivity of the poet expand as pen and paper move in an evocative harmony, exploring the world surrounding the man--and cleverly, the reader as well. There is an exquisite quietude to this work. We grow comfortable traveling from page to page because of the poetry's diversity.
This first volume gives the mind a stimulus for attentiveness to the surrounding world at all scales--from 'The Apache Jumping Spider' to something as broad as all language in 'The Words.' What stays with you is the wisdom in Busacker's vision at these contesting thematic dimensions."

-- Kit Salter, PhD
Professor and Chair Emeritus, Geography, University of Missouri-Columbia

"I truly enjoyed everything in the book. On first reading, I felt a universal warmth in 'Why to Share.' It is currently my favorite verse in the volume. Greg's writing style reminds me of Hugh Prather in his book, Notes to Myself. In Greg's Edges of a Life, you will find yourself, opportunities lost, and time yet available for discovery. Spoken with comfort, compassion, clarity and hope, I found some edges sharpened, some rounded, but none dulled in this memorable collection of verse."
