Dr. Vijayshree Sharma is the founder and director of Sangeetshri School of Music, Arizona, USA, a premier institution dedicated to promoting Indian classical music. After graduating with a doctorate degree in Indian classical music from the prestigious Banaras Hindu University in India in 1993, she taught graduate and post-graduate students at Banasthali Vidyapeeth, Rajasthan, India and has previously been a language instructor at the University of Utah, USA. A musicologist par excellence and an ardent proponent of the disciplined learning of Indian classical music, Dr. Vijayshree Sharma has performed and spoken about Indian culture and arts at national and international events.
